This is, without a doubt, the best grooming tool for long haired cats. It removes 10x more shedding fur in half the time than our (formerly) favorite brush, and with a lot less trauma to cats who don't like to be groomed (not to mention less scratches to their humans).

Pam Johnson-Bennett has written some very helpful and informative books on cat behavior and solving behavioral problems. Psycho Kitty was my introduction to her work.

This book gives in depth infomation on the specific uses of herbs for animals. It contains herbal recipes for specific problems, and has a lot of good photos of herbs. The information about herbs is also useful for human conditions.

This is by far the best interactive cat toy ever! All my cats love to play Da Bird, even the old Jellybean. My cats prefer the sparkly mylar attachment to the feathers. The mylar attachment makes a rustling sound and the cats all come running as soon as they hear it. It's the only toy we've ever had that all the cats want to play with.

All cats need a good sisal scratching post, preferably one with a perch on top!

Called a canine dewormer but many vets use it for cats & so do I. A broad spectrum dewormer (round, hook, tape & a few others) that also treats some other intestinal issues. Put it in the food or mix with water & administer with an oral syringe. It works & is not expensive.

A good anti-flea product. I sprinkle where my outside cats hang out. They also get a monthly flea treatment but DE is a safe, non-toxic way to keep these areas free of all irritating insects. Can also be sprinkled on the carpet for indoor flea problem. Can be given internally for worms. Must be food grade DE.
