ASUS Eee PC

The ASUS Eee PC a low cost ultra-portable subnotebook computer from ASUS. It is available in White, Black, Pink, Blue or Green and is aimed at the education and consumer market. The laptop has flash memory (2,4 or 8 Gbytes) in place of a hard disk drive and Linux in place of Microsoft Windows. Software includes Mozilla FireFox web browser, Mozilla ThunderBird email and OpenOffice office suite (compatible with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint). It is sold in the UK as the RM Minibook by Research Machines. The ASUS Eee PC is a similar size to the One Laptop per Child (OLPC), low-cost educational computer. But unlike the XO laptop, the Eee PC is available to retail purchasers.
