Editorial Reviews
Review
"Reliable Source, Solid Advice: His 'top value wines' and 'best look-alikes to the classics' repay the . . . cost."--Howard Goldberg, The New York Times
"For an omnibus guide to wine, the competition comes down to Clarke and Hugh Johnson. Clarke wins hands down."--The Wine Spectator
From the Inside Flap
Along with the 1,600 reexamined and reconsidered wines, wineries, producers, and regions, what immediately sets this annual pocket guide apart from the competition is the A-Z format. Each entry, whether a wine, producer, grape, or region is accessible by name rather than by location. You can quickly find what you need. Once again, Oz Clarke has produced a guide of unrivaled quality. It is, quite simply, the best of all comprehensive pocket wine guides.

Customer Reviews
If this was a wine I would give it a 75 rating.
More of a wine dictionary than anything else. I find Hugh Johnson's guide much better for looking up individual vineyards and determining the quality of their wines.
