Editorial Reviews

Album Description
The Will Bernard trio highlights the interplay of Will Bernard on Guitar, Ches Smith on Drums and Devin Hoff on bass. Performing Will’s compositions, the trio shifts between free form unmetered compositions and improvisations to blues, ballads, edgy rock and jazz. Contrasts are a big part of the sound of this group: angularity with lyricism, space with density and reckless speed with stillness. The trio attempts to meld improvisation and composition in the most seamless manner possible.
