Product Description

Donald Miller's fresh and original voice may change the way Christians view the "status quo" faith and build a bridge to seekers who believe that organized religion doesn't meet their spiritual needs.

"I never liked jazz music because jazz music doesn't resolve. . . . I used to not like God because God didn't resolve. But that was before any of this happened." In Donald Miller's early years, he was vaguely familiar with a distant God. But when he came to know Jesus Christ, he pursued the Christian life with great zeal. Within a few years he had a successful ministry that ultimately left him feeling empty, burned out, and, once again, far away from God. In this intimate, soul-searching account, Miller describes his remarkable journey back to a culturally relevant, infinitely loving God.

Blue Like Jass5
Donald Miller can read to me anythime.:-)
I've heard Mr. Miller on occasion from Imago Dei Community to Marshill and Willowcreek web sites, his way of writing and speaking brings a humble expressive truthful light to his clear focused direction he's taking his readers/listeners. When i got to the end, first i wished there was more, but then i went right outside and started looking in a renewed wonder of everything around me, knowing this was no chaotic accident.
The world was WOW again and i needed to hear and see that again
so i bought Blue like Jazz for my friends and family
and we can do this mean hard wonderful awesome thing called life
can't wait for the movie to come out, that is going to open even more awareness.
and am looking forward to "Story" hitting the presses and if we're good maybe Donald Miller will read to us some more !

Blue Like Jazz Book on CD4
I am an actor and called to audition for the new film being produced based on this book. I wanted to become more familiar with the material.
It was awesome. Thought provoking and entertaining at the same time.
You won't be disappointed

Great choice for new and seasoned Christians4
Like Anne Lamott, I love Donald Miller for his honesty and ability to laugh at himself and accept himself and others. The collective Christian community does far too much judging and not enough loving, and Miller doesn't mind saying so. He touches the tenets of the Christian faith with the soft candor of a good friend. One of my favorite thoughts he includes is that (and this goes for everyone) if Jesus met him on the street, he finally felt that Jesus would like him. We ministry folks always aim to communicate this critical point, but lack something real and raw to make it stick. Kudos to Donald Miller.
