The Superwinch EPi9.0 Front-Mount Winch is designed for fast-and-easy installation, and comes fully equipped to meet all of your heavy-duty recovery applications. This winch is packed with the features you want: efficient three-stage planetary gear train, automatic load-holding brake, sealed switching, rugged handheld remote, freespooling, power in and out, and a roller fairlead standard. The freespool clutch is designed for fast wire rope payout, and it is operated by a pull-and-turn knob which disengages the gearbox to allow the wire rope to be pulled out without using electrical power. 

With the brake mechanism mounted at the end of the gear box, this winch is ideal for use with synthetic rope. The EPi9.0 also features a 12V wound electric motor, a 12-foot hand-held pendant remote switch and an automatic load holding brake. This winch will hold a rated line pull of 9000-pounds. Designed for users who need an efficient yet powerful pulling solution, the Superwinch EPi9.0 self-recovery winch features a 9,000-pound pull line and a 4.6 horsepower series-wound motor. A 100-foot, 5/16-inch-diameter aircraft grade wire rope offers optimal durability for heavy duty recovery applications. The EPi9.0 is offered in an integrated switching configuration for versatile installation, and is built tough for years of use.

All EP Series models feature reliable, sealed switching solenoids, power-in/power-out operation, and include a free-spooling drum, efficient three-stage planetary gearbox, automatic mechanical brake, hand-held remote, roller fairlead, forged hook with safety latch, hand saver, and battery cables with terminals.

Installation is quick and easy with only two wires to connect. Solenoids on EP units are furnished pre-mounted to the winch motor but can be easily mounted remotely. The EPi units have fully integrated solenoids for quick installation. The Superwinch includes a rugged, handheld remote for operation up to 12 feet away.

Good product, hardware lacking!
I've been very pleased with this winch after a difficult installation... At one point I used this to drag the bottom out from under a 60ft poplar tree that wedged into the ground and hung up on another tree after I cut it. I know from the past that a come-along or even dragging with chains wouldn't have budged it. Speed is also faster than most.

HOWEVER, the bolts I received with the winch (1/2in) would not even fit through the mount holes! I went and bought 4, 7/16in grade 8 bolts and the nuts fit in the right side of the winch but not the left(?!) 3/8 was too small so I had to grind down 3 edges on the head of 2 of my 7/16 nuts to get this to mount, a royal pain! Great product though so I guess it's worth the trouble.

Also, I'd recommend going to a steel wholesaler and getting 1/2in plate steel to drill and mount to, save a LOT of money off the retail plate. Go to myspaceDOTcom/jbtvt and click pics to see the process I used.

Winch is great, high quality. just dont use it with a warn winch mount or you will have to do some grinding!

Easy Install
Installation was very easy and the winch worked exactly as advertised. This is my second Superwinch and I have never been let down. I think this one will lift a house.
