The package indicates you can cook eggs on it but in my experience you can't unless the unit is perfectly level on the counter top. Otherwise the eggs just run right off. It's great for everything else though.

I'm tired of paying 4 bucks and up for a package of fresh herbs from the supermarket when I only need a few stems. The rest always goes to waste. AND after writing to the manufacturer I found out they'll be coming out with a stainless aerogarden in 2007 so I'm waiting to get that one.

The surface is truly non-stick, it's easy to clean, heats evenly, even sears well which my last skillet didnt. Its very large so it transitions easily from making everyday family meals to holiday creations for a crowd. It also has 2 handles that make it easy to carry to the table. I love it!
