In this inspiring new book, bestselling author Wayne W. Dyer shows us that there is an omnipresent spiritual force right at our fingertips that contains the solution to our problems -- from ill health to financial worries to relationship difficulties. Drawing from various spiritual traditions, especially from the prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi, Dyer helps us unplug from the material world and awaken to the divine within.
The first part of the book provides the essential foundation for spiritual problem solving. In these chapters, you'll read the words of Patanjali, a Yogi mystic whose teachings and practices deeply affected Dyer and informed his realization that the spiritual force is everywhere. The second half, organized around the prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi, contains specific suggestions to help readers put spiritual problem solving into practice. Saint Francis's legacy is one of love, harmony, and service -- putting our collective energies toward what we are for instead of what we are against. Each of these last seven chapters begins with a line from this prayer; Dyer then goes on to offer specific and practical suggestions for applying the teaching to everyday problems. These suggestions include affirmations, writing exercises, guided meditations, and other strategies for putting Saint Francis's words and the wisdom of this book into practice.Profound and thought provoking, yet filled with pragmatic advice, There's a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem is a book about self-awareness and tapping the healing energy within all of us. As Dyer writes, "Thinking is the source of problems. Your heart holds the answer to solving them."Product Details

Amazon.com Review
With his usual mix of enthusiasm, optimism, and anecdote, Dr. Wayne Dyer is back again to emphasize that we are in control of our life experiences. Quoting everything from the Bible to The Tao of Pooh, he returns continually to his central point: with truth and self-awareness, all things are possible, including physical healing, improved relationships, and great personal accomplishment. There's a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem dissects what is meant by the word problem and shows us how to achieve our deepest wishes with surprisingly simple suggestions.
Illustrating the possibilities with a variety of stories and letters, Dyer manages to nicely balance the whimsical with the practical. On one page, you'll find straightforward advice like, "If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you. Be honest and frank anyway." In the next section, you'll find a long explanation of the importance of finding "the potential to keep your field of energy uncontaminated." Some may find this disconcerting, yet it also allows careful readers to search out the particular story or method that works for them. Anecdotes from addicts, parents whose children have died, and hospital patients are strewn throughout the book, as are references to Dyer's previous works and lengthy passages from other spiritual authors. In every case, these stories showcase the power of positive thinking and using those positive thoughts to manifest positive change. Although this attempt at changing the world one thought at a time is not vastly different in tone or message from Dyer's previous works, his fans will nevertheless appreciate it. --Jill Lightner
From Publishers Weekly
The first half of this book is virtually interchangeable with any number of manuals by Deepak Chopra, John Bradshaw and Marianne Williamson. Self-help guru Dyer urges readers not to let their problems get them down; problems, he chirps, are just illusions anyway. Like many other pop spirituality writers in our multicultural age, Dyer draws on spiritual wisdom from the world over, peppering his pages with quotations from the Bhagavad Gita and the Bible. Dyer too often veers into the blatantly self-promotional, weaving in letters from readers who say their lives have been utterly transformed by following his advice. But the second half of the book an extended meditation on Francis of Assisi's well-known prayer "Lord, make me an instrument of your peace" distinguishes this offering from the rest of the self-help pack. Dyer urges readers to choose peace, to think about the sun's light and energy when they stumble into a place of darkness and to focus on hope when all they feel is despair. He advises acting loving in situations filled with anger and hate, letting go of fear and "shifting from pessimism to optimism." These aren't breathtakingly original suggestions, but Dyer, returning again and again to the words of St. Francis, presents such familiar lessons in a fresh and loving way. Dyer's large and loyal following will enjoy this book, but he would have done his readers a favor by lopping off the first 140 pages.

From Library Journal
The best-selling author of over 20 books, Dyer (Your Erroneous Zones) offers a timeless message that draws wisdom from many spiritual traditions. Some readers may have difficulty digesting his blend of Eastern and Western concepts, but the practical examples will enable most readers to understand and apply the insights. Dyer completed this book after he experienced a heart attack and updated it with stories of his personal application of the ideas. This lends credibility to his claims that we cannot send problems out of our lives by attacking them or understanding them in more depth but by correcting the error in our thinking that produced the problem in the first place. Readers may have difficulty grasping his definitions of problem, solution, and spiritual, but the book is engaging and easily lends itself to rereading. An enticing and challenging work; recommended for all public library self-help, religion, psychology, or contemporary issues collections.

Thank You, Wayne!!!
This is a wonderful and wise book, full of love, hope and practical advice. It teaches the importance -- and explains the rewards -- of living a life with a strong spiritual center in a world that is frighteningly materialistic, and does so in a way that is refreshing, uplifting and entertaining.
If you're looking for a lift, read this book right away. It's probably Wayne's best, and, in my book, that's saying a lot!!
A Dyer Masterpiece. Again.
Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, known my many as the father of motovition has produced countless books, articles, recordings, lectures, and TV and radio appearances since the late '70's that have left his followers amazed with his mastery at articulating what most would think would be very difficult subjects.
Dyer's work took a sharp shift a few years ago from psychological self help type work to spirutal and "higher self" guidance. Dyer's most recent work, There's a Spirutal Solution for Every Problem, is absolutely the crown jewel. I was left dumbfounded by his ability to make the reader understand deep philisophical concepts.
This book will leave the reader seeing complex, so called "problems" in a whole new way. Dyer walks the reader through a path of seeing and knowing that problems are only illusions created in our minds and that any possible problem that a person can encounter will literally evaporate by following the principles taught in this, and other Wayne Dyer works.
There's a Spiritual Solution for Every Problem is a necessity for anyone who believes that they have problems.
Dyer's insights will get you thinking
I read and loved Wayne Dyer's THERE'S A SPIRITUAL SOLUTION TO
EVERY PROBLEM . . . one of the best books I have read in a long
time! . . . he shows how there's a spiritual force available to help
us, regardless of religion or whatever is bothering us (ill health,
financial difficulties, etc.) . . . I liked the numerous examples,
along with references to the Bible, Koran and many other similar
works . . . in reading this, I felt as if Dyer was talking directly to
me . . . his insights into the human condition will certainly
get you thinking.
There were many memorable passages . . . my problem is choosing just a few to highlight here . . . but try I must, so here goes:
Coming to this awareness of being steadfast in abstaining from harmful thoughts is a potent tool for accessing a spiritual solution to problems involving relationships. When a person is talking to you and you are slipping into the mode of feeling angry about how you are being talked to, you can remind yourself in that instant to abstain from thinking harmful or angry thoughts. I find that it is quite effective to use the following words, first internally, and then I say them out loud. They are, "You're right about that!" Not sarcastically. Without rancor, I simply allow the other person to be right, which is all their ego really wants.
Recently, my brother was telling me about all the people he was meeting who has prostate cancer. "It's like an epidemic," he said. "Three guys down the street, two at work, all in the past week or so." My immediate response to him was, "I will not think thoughts of prostate cancer." When a friend who had recently had a hip replacement due to rheumatoid arthritis told me that with all my running I was a perfect candidate for a hip replacement, my immediate response was, "I will not have a hip replacement. I don't do rheumatoid arthritis."
Over the years I have had the experience on many occasions of people ordering products, sending me a check, and then a week or so later discovering that the person had insufficient funds to cover the costs of the materials I had purchased and mailed. There was a time when I reacted to this experience of being defrauded with complaints about how irresponsible and immoral this was. About five years ago I did an about-face. Every time this happened to me I mailed the person a free gift of an autographed book, and requested payment for the bounced check. The response was amazing. About ninety-eight percent of the people who received a free gift in response to their NSF check, not only returned the money, but took the time to write a lovely letter of apology as well. This was in contrast to the less then forty percent who made good on their bad checks previously. The old saying goes "Kill them with kindness." I prefer "Connect to them with love and generosity," or as Saint Francis would say, "Sow love."
