Editorial Review
If you're a mad entomologist, these are the coolest building "blocks" you've ever seen. No more boring old squares, but bizarre, anatomically incorrect pieces of skeleton and exoskeleton. Use them to construct ants, beetles, flies, or bugs. The hard plastic pieces are large, ranging from 1 inch in diameter for the beez kneez (orange balls with holes for 6 attachments) to 7 inches long for a gold thorax. (The purple pincers are 3 inches long, mandibles are 3-inch orange horseshoe shapes, and so on.) Black joints bend and rotate, pincers open and close, the green antennae swivel and the blue stinger retracts. Use alone, or combine with other Bonz sets. --Richard Farr

Great Toy
ExoBonz rocks. You can make lobsters (with claws that open and close), spiders with bendable legs, grasshoppers and beetles with movable wings. The best part is you can combine and create your own. My kids play with this set for hours. I highly recommend any of the Bonz toys.
bonz are brittle
This set is great and my son and niece loved playing with it. BUT after just a day or two of play about 9 or 10 of the pieces broke. There are little collars inside the holes of the large body pieces that broke and now the legs don't stay in place, and several of the connector pieces just snapped. The toy rates very well for fun and creativity, but it stinks for durability. Toys that are meant to be put together and taken apart should be able to withstand being put together and taken apart for more than one or two days.
