You really can't go wrong with a leapfrog toy. An alternative to the playskool palm learner, this one is a little heavier/bulkier. It's magnetic, so you can use it on your fridge at home after your trip. The Fridge DJ offers a brighter screen & more music than the Palm Learner, but has a higher price tag to go with that.

Use these on the back of juice can lids or laminated cardstock to create fun magnets for your kids to use on a cookie sheet. Decorate the juice lid with... ~ laminated photos ~ textured fabrics (like a touch/feel book) ~ stickers (animal, vehicle, flowers, smiley faces) These will also make great personalized fridge magnets for your child to use at home.
