Amazon.com Review
Made of sturdy, nonstick-coated metal with rubberized plastic feet that won't mar a counter or skid under the weight of a cake, this grid performs its essential task the way it's supposed to. It won't warp, cleans with a sponge or cloth, and keeps baked goods from developing soggy bottoms while cooling. --Fred Brack

Takes a lot to impress me
Wow. I have not been impressed by a kitchen item for a while now. No kitchen with an avid baker should be without these cooling racks. The grid design saves my cookies from falling through the cracks. I am not sure what I have done without a nonstick finish on all my old racks? It is so nice to just plunk it in the dishwasher and not worry about it rusting either. Banana bread, a notorious "sticker" came right off with ease! Another wonderful aspect of these racks is the feet. I have all new surfaces in my kitchen and I worry about metal things sliding along the countertops and leaving scratches or marks. No fear of that with these either. With the grid design comes an extra strength. My heavy bundt cakes will not bend these. I have not been so excited about a new kitchen tool forever it seems. Nordic Ware has such a reasonable price for them that they would make great gifts for the baker in your life and will be a grand addition to any kitchen. I am convinced that they are a necessity. I just have to decide how many more I need....
Where's the Feet?
When this rack arrived, it was already missing a foot. But that was okay with me, because the first thing I did was remove the two that were still on, and take them and the loose one in the box, and tossed them into the junk drawer.
This rack fits perfectly in a cookie sheet, and makes a great draining/cooling rack for my deep fried foods and my roasts. The non-stick grid means all it usually needs is a quick rinse, but it's sturdy enough for a ride in the dishwasher.
This rack kicks butt!
OK, a cooling rack seems like a stupid thing to get excited about, but this thing rules. Most cooling racks have just horizontal bars, instead of the grid pattern on this one. The problem with the "horizontal" cooling racks is that when your cookies are a little soft, they tend to sag around the horizontal bars, and are hard to pull off later. The cooling "grid" keeps the cookies from drooping, so they stay a nicer shape, and can be easily removed. Also, when you're fiddling around with cookie placement on the rack, you can easily slide soft cookies in all four directions (top to bottom, side to side), without tearing the cookie or having it slip through the horizontal bars.
