Miracle Blanket - Blue. At last, the perfect swaddle made easy! Miracle Blanket earned the "thumbs up" from the Good Housekeeping Institute. Uses no velcro, zippers or other confusing adjustments that can scratch baby and one size fits all. New research shows the benefits of swaddling to calm baby and help ensure longer sleep, but the Miracle Blanket makes it easy. It truly is amazing. The Miracle Blanket is made of the highest quality (and cozy) materials available and is stitched with great attention to detail. The Miracle Blanket helps baby sleep on his back to reduce SIDS concerns and clinical studies prove that proper swaddling can often eliminate colic symptoms. Yet most blankets do not provide for a secure swaddle and baby often manages to squirm loose. The Miracle Blanket is easy to use and keeps baby snug. Pediatrician recommended. What are parents saying? "I love this blanket! It has saved me countless hours of sleep and crying. I recommend it to all of my expecting friends in my playgroup." Sharon, MN "I was at my wits end when I was introduced to the Miracle Blanket. The first night that I used the blanket, Makena slept four straight hours. By the third night of use she slept six straight hours. This blanket is a lifesaver!" Heather Brady, CA "What do the pros say? "Our more experienced maternity ward nurses were skeptical at first, but now even THEY are asking for more! The new parents say it's a Miracle!" Director of Women's a Children's Services at UCLA Medical Center "We just put our one month old son down for the second night wrapped in The Miracle Blanket. He seems to love it. He slept six hours straight last night, followed by four hours straight after a quick feeding. You can't complain about that at 1 month! My friend is a pediatrician and she and I are going to be recommending the Miracle Blanket to our patients!" Family Practitioner in Arizona

Also great for bigger babies
Our baby was a terrible sleeper until we figured out that we had to swaddle him. Most swaddling blankets are much too small and completely useless. The "ultimate receiving blanket" is much bigger than most and for a while did the trick but pretty quickly the baby outgrew and outmuscled that one too. Then came the baby bonkie, a swaddling sleepsack. It was the best thing ever. Very user friendly and it had our baby sleep through the night instantly. However, that too got too small too soon. Then I found the miracle blanket. It's a little less user friendly than the baby bonkie. It takes a bit more effort to wrap your baby up in this. But it's not hard and you get the hang of it fairly quickly. Our baby is now 25" long and weighs almost 15 lbs and he still fits comfortably in the miracle blanket. I hope this will last until he has outgrown his moro reflexes and can sleep in a regular sleepsack. If not, I guess I'll have to find a way to put together my own miracle blanket.
Best Swaddler yet!
We've tried many different swaddle type blankets with fasteners and without. This one is by far the best! Our son is on the large size and very crafty at getting out of the other blankets. We tried this blanket last night and he slept great! He wasn't able to wiggle out, and it didn't seem like he even wanted to. A definite must-try!
Happy overall with purchase
We bought the Miracle Blanket when our son was 3 months old. We had been swaddling him in Halo sleep sack and Kiddopotmus swaddlers until he started to break out of them. He is now 4 months old and we have been using the Miracle blanket for naps and at night, however we are starting to transition him out of swaddling, so he always has one arm free of the swaddler.
Positives:
1) The fabric is lightweight, so it is great to use in warmer weather
2) It is easy to swaddle only the arms, leaving the legs out of the bottom sac
3) When we swaddle our son perfectly, he stays swaddle all night without breaking out of the swaddle.
Negatives:
1) It is hard to perfectly swaddle a squirming baby ;) and if we haven't made sure each arm flap is smooth and covering his entire arm, he often breaks free of the swaddle in the middle of the night.
2) Our son kicks his legs out of the sack almost immediately, now matter how tightly we swaddle him. This isn't a huge issue, but I thought it was worth mentioning
The only other suggestion I would make is to purchase a pattern. We have the green with off white trim and it has a few stains on it from leaking diapers. I think having a pattern would hide these spots better.
Overall I would say this was a good purchase. Considering the cost, I would have bought it sooner than 3 months in order to get more use out of it but having used it for 4 weeks now, I am happy with it.
