Customer Reviews
Beautiful, Memorable - a MUST Have!
If you are searching for the absolutely Best collection of Disney songs, look no further! It's a beautiful selection of 75 songs, ranging from such heartwarming classics as "Once Upon a Dream" (Sleeping Beauty), and "When You Wish Upon a Star", "April Showers" to today's hits from Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Aladdin, etc. And you can't help but smile (if not laugh) when you hear the "I'm Professor Ludwig Von Drake" song! (you have to hear this one to believe it). I was also tickled to find "It's a Small World" and "Tiki Room" included! There are many hard-to-find songs in this collection, making it a "Must Have" for any serious Disney fan! This is a sure-to-please collection for all ages.
Almost All the Classics
This is a nice box set. You get three CDs and a large booklet.
These are soundtracks, and all the songs are here, all in their original form and by the original people from all the Disney movies and TV shows (including the original Mickey Mouse Club). Some songs that are MISSING that I wish were there include: Haley Mills' "Let's Get Together," from the Parent Trap, "Scales and Arpeggios," from the Aristocats, and that sweet song from Oliver that I think is called "Good Company" (You and me together will be, forever with me . . ."). They should be on there, in my opinion. Also, this is NOT a good source for any of the old Annette Funicello songs that she released on her own albums.
What this is, essentially, is a children's album. For those of us old enough, it is a nostalgic trip down memory lane from all those songs from our childhood. There are a great range of songs on here, and it's worth the price.
Best Disney Collection Ever!
This 3-CD set is a delight from start to finish. Ranging from the earliest films to the most recent, the song selection could not be more complete. Unexpected gems include Kirk Douglas' recording of "Whale of a Tale" from "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea," and Roger Miller's "Oh De Lally" from "Robin Hood." There are the more expected pieces from "Beauty and the Beast," "Little Mermaid" and "Aladdin," and music from the theme parks (e.g., "Main Street Electrical Parade." This is a set of discs to lift the spirits of the young and young at heart. Disneyphiles will love it.
