This is great! I use it in our bathtub, and even at four months, still use the sling that came with it. I like the little plug which lets you drain out the water if you can't dump the whole thing.

Okay for chapped nipples in the first weeks of nursing(it's the ONLY one you don't have to wipe off), but best used to lanolize wool diaper covers. A little goes a long way.

These are close to aristocrats, which are the best, but find them on ebay. Wool is the very best. It's naturally antibacterial, doesn't smell, is dry to the touch after a night of use, and is breathable. Yay for natural fibers!

Thought we would need this, but receiving blankets work just fine. My son wasn't that into swaddling past a month or so anyway.

Must have with Snugride carseat. It latches in easily and also converts to a regular stroller after you don't need the car seat any longer. Also, good storage and durability.

For washing wool diaper covers/soakers. Lavender is great. A little lasts a long time.

Great read if you're trying to go for natural childbirth, or just to get your head in the space for birthing. Take with a grain of salt, she's totally granola, and you should adapt her approach to fit your own ideals and needs.

What a freakin' waste of money! Just use baby blankets. This is just an overpriced piece of designer cloth with a neck hoop. You'll always have spare, clean baby blankets nearby.

This is good for the first few months. It's necessary for the ride home from the hospital/birthing center. Your baby's head will flop down and scare the crap out of you, even with this support. You can remove the inner support when your baby outgrows it.

Hell, I wouldn't want to eat that smelly jarred food, so why subject my son to it?

Helps during the birth, and then with let-down (milk ejection reflex) once you're pumping. Also good for anyone (pets included) that's stressed.
