Customer Reviews
The least likely to leak of the diapers we tried.
I heard from other parents and also from reading reviews that the Pampers swaddlers were great diapers.
Well, after trying out Huggies, Target brand, and Pampers, my wife and I really like Pampers the best. Why?
Hey, when you're holding the baby, you don't want to suddenly feel wetness coming through on those newly washed clothes. I found it pretty annoying to have to change the diapers, toss the clothes in the laundry, and wash the baby with the other brands, when I should have been playing with the baby. I think the Huggies did a fine job provided that you changed the diapers frequently to keep the absorbancy intact. In the end, it was worth paying a little extra $ to get less leaks. The one thing that Huggies did a better job of was the diapers seemed to be less perfumy. Pampers seem to have more of the "baby/talcum smell".
Rookie Dad Loves the Swaddlers
I'm a 1st time dad and was pleased to see our hospital (huge, big-city hospital that delivers 4000 babies a year) using Pampers Swaddlers for newborns. I had never changed a diaper so I had the nurse give me detailed instructions. She said the swaddlers are the best of breed - especially for newborns.
Knock on wood, but we have yet to have an infamous Blow-Out, and we have had lots of full diapers. No leaks either.
Now if Amazon would just figure out how to keep these in stock....
Savior for a Preemie
My daughter is a preemie and spent the first two and a half weeks of her life in the NICU. The nurses always had bags of Pamper's Preemie sized diapers and that's what was always put on her. They were great. When we were preparing to have her home with us we went searching for preemie sized diapers and could only find Huggies Preemies, so we bought several bags. They leaked SO BAD! Every time I'd pick her up from her bed, her bottom side felt wet and there was a small stain on the sheet. :(
None of my local retail stores carried the pampers preemie diapers, but I did see a bag of Newborn sized ones and thought I'd give them a shot.
They were a very tiny bit bigger, but it didn't matter at all. They fit wonderfully and she didn't have anymore leaks. From only 3lbs13oz till she now when she's just hit a little over 7lbs these have worked the best for my daughter. They've begun to get a little snug but they still fit her and I still haven't gotten a single leak from them (even when she had a bad bought of diarrhea a little over a week ago!)
I still have a whole bag of untouched huggies that I'll probably never use. Oh well.
These are so much more reliable.
