This adorable little puppy pal is a perfect way to entertain baby. When baby bats at the hanging toys (or when Mom or Dad push a button), this puppy comes to life! His head bobs, his tail bounces, and all fours move back and forth to baby's delight. What's more, he makes real puppy sounds and there are four short tunes for baby to enjoy.
Parent can activate bouncer for 10 minutes of continuous play with six longer songs. An extra-long seat ensures baby's comfort, and calming vibrations soothe your baby like a ride in the car. Requires 4 "D" batteries, not included.

From the Manufacturer
The Playful Puppy is a bouncer that features a very cute puppy character that comes to life through motion. His 4 legs swing back and forth to simulate running and his head bobs side to side. His ears are floppy plush with their own action and he's full of bright spots. Baby sits in a sacked out seat in a bright colored coordinating fashion with a restraint. Two fun toys hang from the toybar - a plastic bone with rattle beads and a plastic ball that spins for visual interest and fun bat-at sounds. Includes two modes of use - parent activated long play with 6 long songs that loop for 10 mintues, and baby activated - where baby bats at the hanging toys to activate the puppy, SFX and 3 short tunes. Includes calming vibrations.

best bouncer - able to bounce baby with one foot
Fisher price (FP) designs many bouncers, but this style is the best due to the leg design. Some of the FP bouncers have very stiff legs so they do not bounce easily. The legs curve/bow out from the seat (check out image of product). Because of this leg design you can easily place your foot and bounce the baby. My baby will fall asleep with me bouncing and then I turn on the vibration and leave her be.
I wasn't crazy about the PINK design, but I know the leg design is offered with a Bunny print as well, but that appears to be discontinued. The key thing is to find the FP bouncer that has the legs that curve/bow out from the seat base.
Great Bouncer
I initially bought the Rainforest bouncer but wasn't too happy with it. The hanging toys hung way too low and were made of a hard plastic. My baby got his foot stuck in them. I returned it for this one and my baby boy loves it. He smiled immediately at the puppy when I turned it on and watched it the entire time then went to sleep. I actually liked the idea of this bouncer because the puppy is more upbeat rather than soothing like the other bouncers so my baby gets some playtime. By the time he gets tired, the puppy and music shuts off and he sleeps peacefully in the vibrating chair. My ONLY minor complaint is I wish the ball on the toy bar cracked or squeaked. But overall, a terrific purchase!
in praise of bouncy seats
Now that I've caved to the power of pink (it only took three girls for me to finally give in), this turns out to be very cute and was the second cheapest I could find. Quality seems fine (two weeks post purchase) and who doesn't love a tool that keeps the kiddo safe and calm while one does dishes or makes dinner for the rest of the brood...? For the first babe, we were given a different seat that aimed to be an improvement over the classic and very simple bouncy seat, but had so many functions it was basically useless. This is a case, though, where the basics are the best. In looking around for a new one, saw many for $100; if you can stomach the not-as-posh aesthetic, this seems like a great value for a seat that will only used for a few months, anyway.
