Nice but has design flaws

Much more comfortable and less bulkier (noticeable) than the Stromgren model. Slim fit works well with my muscular 9 year old. I think a player with a husky build would find the tightness too uncomfortable and it would quickly find its resting place in the bottom drawer. Not sure how they test for heart protection but it gives my son more confidence on hard ground balls.

DESIGN FLAW: The hexpad is sewn in leaving a 3/4" hem on the inside making it very irritating against the skin. This was solved by wearing it inside out.

Serves the purpose
I bought this item for my 9 year old son who plays baseball. Although it serves the purpose, he finds it rather uncomfortable as he claims it sticks to him. The inside material is different from the white nylon outside.

The pad does not come out for washing so I'm somewhat hesitant to wash it too much.

All in all it is much more convenient and comfortable than the convertable protectors that strap on.
