Great Starter cup
This is a strter sippy cup. It has a rubber nipple that makes it easy and baby friendly. If you give this cup to a toddler they suck to hard it will not work well. This worked for my daughter from 9-16 months. Then the valve started comming out I called gerber and they said it was because she has moved on the the next level of cups since her suck has gotten stronger that is why all sippy cups from gerber have age recc on them.

These sippi cups are very cheaply made (like many gerber products in my experience), and you also can't use this cup without the valve to teach your child to sip instead of suck since there is no second airhole to allow more fluid to come out.
However, you CAN take the valve out on the playtex first sipster cup and it works great!
