Practical and Helpful
While this self-help manual contains all the theory you need to undertake a successful performance management and employee performance evaluation process, the real value of the manual is in all of the practical how-to information that it contains. This manual has figures, tips, guides, suggested forms, and training material that makes it easy for any manager or HR type to develop and implement an effective performance management program. The manual also comes with a disk copy of the contents to make it even easier to adapt the material for use. This really helped our HR department to design its performance management process and sytem. A great tool.
Excellent Performance Management Manual
This is an exceptional and comprehensive manual on performance management. Whether or not a business or government agency implements the specific performance management system and options outlined in this manual/disk set, the support material will be invaluable to any manager. The reproducible training information will assist any HR director or CEO improve organizational output. Must reading for any manager interested in targeting performance.
Very effective but time consuming
Morrison has obviously worked hard in getting this book together. The objectives for the planning part, though, could have been more specific and illustrated for different job functions. In the follow-up of the appraisal[review] is the most vial of any PA system and that where the readers would have to innovate to suit the individual appraisees. This is book for not only HR professional but also forline managers.
