Really great, fashionable, comfortable shoes
These shoes are remarkably comfortable. They are made of very thin leather, like a fancy Italian dress shoe (guess they are a fancy Italian dress shoe with athletic shoe styling). Although it doesn't show well in the photos, the very thin sole has a tougher rubberized insert, rather like a driving shoe, which is very flexible.

I bought several pairs, after trying one pair out, and would, at $53 on Amazon, buy more if they still had my size.

These shoes are very strking and good looking--I have the brown on brown and wore them with a sports jacket and tie today to give a lecture and got several favorable comments on my high fashion shoes.

Jan. 15, 2009: a problem has come up with these shoes. After wearing them total no more than two weeks they got holes in both toes. Not from my toes poking the shoes, but, because the very front of the toe box which should have been covered with rubber (curved up and over front of toes rather than the leather actually used.

Basically, these shoes are not very durable due to this problem. Otherwise great. Okay if you pay very little and I am going to ask my shoe repair guy to see about putting a patch on the toe--if it can be done and look okay. Still, this is a design flaw.

Great Driving shoes and biking shoes
I bought these on amazon and love how they look and feel. The thin leather makes your feet feel part of the ground.

I ride my car mostly, but around the city use my road bike. I had these shoes on one time and was annoyed on how my shoes were planted on the metal pedals. However, at the end, I loved it as I don't have pedal clip-ons; these bacco bucci shoes (with the rubber grips on the bottom) make it perfect to continuously pedal.

good looks but limited comfort
This shoe is very very sharp to look at, and looks good when worn. Unfortunately I found they lacked any "shock-absorber" on the sole. I walked about 3 or 4 blocks to the grocery store and back and it felt a lot like I was walking in my bare feet so that when walking over even a piece of plastic or a pebble on the sidewalk, it HURT! I'm hoping that adding a pair of insoles will help. The shoe fits a bit larger than some brands.
