For the Hindu music lover4
If you enjoy the more traditional side of Hindu music and don't mind hearing it mixed into some modern sounds, then this album is quite good. A couple of the songs on this album are quite beautiful and are great for a relaxing, meditative listening or simply as background music.

Worth a listen4
In all, these songs are not bad - IF you enjoy listening to world music. I happen to like the layers of rhythm in world music and the entrancing beats that are identifiable in this type of music. Tracks 3 and 6 are probably the best, in my opinion for 2 completely different reasons. Track 3 has a very calming, soothing effect when listening to it. It would almost be really good to listen to while trying to fall asleep. Track 6 has a great rhythm to it. The other songs aren't as strong so I didn't download those. I'm grateful for the ones I did download since they were free, and free is always good!

If you like Sanksrit chants, you'll like this.4
Wonderful mix of chants by various artists with more modern instrumentation supplanting the traditional Indian instruments. Would be excellent for yoga class with the exception of the first track - Om Shanti - which is a little frenetic. I am surprised and pleased the Sampler is a free offering. Just saw Wah! in concert a few weeks ago, so it was great to hear her again. Many thanks to Amazon.
