Hammer films was a studio in england that remade a lot of the classic horror films. These are great.

Heavily influenced many films to come, especially zombie films.

George Romero's Night of the living dead. When it was released in 1968 no one was prepared for it. The gore, the social subtext, The intensity. This movie proved that a small budget film could still pack a punch and not only do well at the box office but completely change the face of the whole industry. A month after this film was released the MPAA rating system came into effect.

Looks like an old educational video kinda. You know the kind they would show you in science class on those huge old projectors. That only ads to the creepiness of this film. Manical and pretty brutal.

This movie is just plain awesome. Started the slasher genre and is just a really well done movie. I highly recommend it.

Kind of a rip off of Dawn of the Dead but its actually pretty awesome. Italian director Lucio Fulci took the basic premise of Dawn of the dead and moved it all to an island and pumped up the gore, if you could even imagine that, and came out with this. Definitely worth watching if you are a zombie fan.

This series is hit or miss but it is definitely an important part of modern horror and its pretty cheap so you might as well get em all. They are all at least entertaining and some are great.

John Carpenters remake of the thing is totally awesome. Kurt Russel is pretty great. The special effects are amazing and seeing a head come off someones body and grow spider legs and start to crawl around it worthe the price of admission alone.

Often called the least in the Romero "Dead" series. No way. This movie rules so much. Oh man, go watch it right away. It's awesome!

This is more or less a remake of the original evil dead and it might even be better. So much craziness. Ever want to see a guy with a sawed of shotgun and a chainsaw arm fight the weirdest assortment of crazy things you could imagine. Well then this movie is for you

Totally gory and awesome. Made by Peter Jackson, you might know him as the man who made those incredibly popular movies about short furry footed creatures and wizards but before all that he made this. And it is crazy.

I had no idea that this movie was going to be so scary. It is, Way scary. Check it out.

really funny take on zombie films. and actually turns out to be a pretty scary zombie movie in parts as well. Really cool and unique movie.

Romero returns and is just a prolific and entertaining as ever. This one has a bigger budget and it doesnt go to waste. Lots of really cool effects and a really interesting story. Check it out.
