A classic, and way below their expecations technologically, but it can still hold a kid's attention with the lights low on a Saturday night. Take care when ordering. I chose this one for its cover. It isn't compatable with US systems.

There are vesions of this without the brief nudity if you look for them. Every kid wonders if there's a monster next door, and in this one there is.

Wild and crazy, its rated PG-13, so its not for the little ones, but maybe a 8 or 19 year old. I don't remember if it's rated for language or just "violence", which wouldn't add up to anything in the world of today's video games.

You never know unless you try. I was 5 when I saw KING KONG for the first time, it didn't bother me at all that it was in black and white. It scared the hell out of me and I loved it. Of course, today's kids are so "sophisticated" that they could never enjoy something as simple as this, right. Set them up for it, and I think they will.

There is now a colorized version of this Ray Harryhausen classic monster flick so that even the younger generation will be able to know the joys of the Ymir. In fact several of Ray's films have been colorized with his consent and full participation. This was the first.

These two Roger Corman comedies star the old-time horror greats in various combinations; Price, Karloff, Lorre, Rathbone, and scariest of all--Jack Nicholson!

Yeah, its in black and white, but it has a bitchin' robot, and much of the story involves the kid played by Billy Gray which should help get kids interested. I know it scared me--I memorized that phrase, just in case I ever needed it!

The sad part is that almost all kids will probably be bored silly by this. So start them very young, when flying monkeys can still scare the poop out of 'em.

Seriously, if you have a kid who wouldn't get a kick out of this then they are just too jaded for their own good.

Unfortunately this is not among the films that was colorized since it was owned by a different company. Its a shame since its one of the best.

Not scary, but good fun for kids.
