Following in his father s legacy, Ky-Mani Marley marches on and continues the pop reggae sound his family is known for. Radio is Ky-Mani s third album and from listening to this day and night this is definitely his best effort yet. Coming from such a musical family you would think it would difficult to stand out. But Ky-Mani rises to the top with radio friendly hits such as One Time, The March, Royal Vibes and The Conversation.

The comparisons to his father will be inevitable, but Ky-Mani is his own man. You can not deny the talent he has been given. And rather than rest on his father s legacy Ky-Mani delivers an album full of musical talent, brilliant beats and roots reggae, yet keeps the spiritual torch burning. Ky-Mani is definitely keeping the Marley music magic alive. This CD is a must have for every music collection. --BAMCO New Release Report

Ky-Mani Marley's fourth solo album is "Radio" (2007) a fourteen track release which features guest appearances from Louie Rankin, Young Buck, Gail Gotti, Tessanne Chin, Mya & Maintain. The Jamaican born Miami raised artist provides a substantial release which is more Hip Hop influenced then any of his past album's, and the infusion of the two genres works real well on this album - a fine example being the album's opening track "I'm Back" where Ky-Mani collaborates with Louie Rankin and Young Buck for an excellent track. Next up is "The March" which has Ky-Mani rolling out for war. "Slow Roll" is just that, Marley delivers a laid back tribute to a special woman, female MC Gail Gotti makes a late appearance. Head nodding production follows on "One Time" , Marley sings away on the upbeat "Hustler" & teams up with female singer Tesanne Chin on "The Conversation". Marley keeps the love ballads coming on tracks like "Royal Vibes" & the mellow "I Got You" feat. Mya. Ky-Mani Marley sings with passion on "Jezebel" a tale of being in love with a woman who is not loyal and the heart break it causes. My favourite track on this release is "Ghetto Soldier", Marley, Louie Rankin and MC Maintain team up for a blazing banger. The Red Spyda produced "Breakdown" follows, and then Marley closes the album off on an introspective note asking for god's blessing on the deep "I Pray". A Bonus Vox Spanish Remix of the "The March" is also included. "Radio" is high quality album worth having in the collection, recommend checking it out.

This having been said, Ky-mani has raised the stakes with this,
his latest jewel.
Haters & nay sayers have long waged a futile battle against
that which they either don't understand or, are afraid to embrace.
To exile Hip-Hop, or most certainly Reggae to a finite definition,
is in essence to close the door on all that has been achieved,
as well as all that has yet to be achieved.
This body of work not only gives an accurate portrait of human existence,
it rounds off the jagged corners upon which the closed minded continue to
cut themselves.
The tracks are "bar none" a jump start to the drained batteries of today's
or, more appropriately, tomorrow's heroes.
The lyrics hold no grudges, and make no excuses.
Those eager to be moved...will be. Those awaiting the next thing to hate,
bon` apetite.
This album goes to prove that.....If you're waiting on life,

Great Album!!
This album by Ky-Mani is great work. I love the feel of the album. This is Ky-Mani but this is not reggae. Some songs have a reggae feel but most of it is hip-hop and r&b. I love The March, The Conversation, Royal Vibes, Hustler, Jezebel, Slow Roll, I Pray. So many hits on this record!! It was nice hearing a Marley outside of reggae. Buy this, you will love it. I hope this record gets the exposure it deserves.
