Customer Reviews

A waste of money.1
Wonder why the authors do not allow you to preview a page out of the book? Because if they did you wouldn't buy it. The listed restaurants are vaguely described with a brief 4 or 5 sentences, the Los Cabos tourist traps are well represented and the guide even comes with a handy pronunciation guide, for example; Salsa (SAL-sah), Taco (TAH-ko)! Well at least that was good for a laugh! If you have a guide book to the Los Cabos area it will certainly have better recommendations. If you want to eat with the rest of the gringos that just poured off the cruise ships than this is the guide for you!

Excellent Resource! Great Recommendations! A+++5
This guide was a godsend! With so many restaurants in and around Cabo you never know what to expect or who will rip you off. We followed the guide for breakfast, lunch and dinner and even recommended places to fellow travelers and everyone loved it. The descriptions are great and you know what you're getting into: type of food served, atmosphere, price, family friendly, etc., so it makes it easy to choose the right spot. The little update insert is great (everyone knows restaurants come and go) and with it you know what the locals know in finding good eats!

I love the in-town restaurants that we found in the guide but the out of the way places were truly fabulous and fun - a little adventure and great food makes for lasting memories. We went to an out of the way restaurant called Buzzard's that was right on the beach, the food was great and affordable and they had large bird cages filled with parrots. We ate, played on the beach and watched the sunset - it was beautiful! This last trip to Cabo outshined our others and a big part of it was great dining experiences thanks to the Los Cabos Guide to Good Eating and More!

Truly Disappointing!1
I purchased this before my Christmas vacation to Los Cabos and was disappointed as soon as it arrived. After using it; I just threw it away. You can find all of the restaurants listed in the free "Gringo Gazette" when you get there and this "guide" does not offer any "out of the way" recommendations or local "insight." It recommends the chain Ruth's Chris steakhouse, which was one of the better restaurants but I would expect more. [...] Some of the recommendations were closed and many were just simply really bad!
