Customer Reviews

Helped us plan great places to go! Insider tips.5
Fodors Puerto Vallarta was a great book for our weeklong trip to PV. We used it to get tips ahead of time about things like taxis, air ports, time share sharks, and basic information about the culture. When we arrived, we went to many of the restaurants and beaches suggested, like Andriengo for Mexican fare, Fedensio's on the end of the beach for breakfast, and a great Cuban place, La Boguedita, where we ordered "off" of the menu, and ate the best sandwiches ever. We shopped at the Rio Cuale flea market and found great finds. We appreciated the side trips suggested, and visited the quaint beach town of Buseria. The book also had chapters on art and tequilla, so the reader could get a more in-depth look at things that make PV important. Lots of good advice was given (avoid time share people at the airport, taxis have one fare) so that made us feel like we had an "edge" while vacationing. Puerto Vallarta is not that large and this book was all we needed to spend a great 7 days in Mexico. We used it everyday to plan our activities.
