The Basics
I used this map as my main driving reference in January, 2008, and found it to be quite adequate for my purposes in most respects. It IS made of paper and subject to the wear and tear one would expect, but it showed the principal roads and highways I traveled in the loop from Cabo San Lucas to Todos Santos to La Paz to Los Barriles to San Jose del Cabo clearly and (apparently, as I didn't get "lost") accurately.
As a not terribly detailed map of La Paz is the only city depicted, it's of most use when out in the countryside. Purchasers should also be aware that it's entirely in Spanish, which I didn't find to be an issue and conceivably could be very helpful if one had to ask someone for directions.
