Amazon.com Review
No buttons to push or detailed instructions to read--this good old-fashioned mechanical timer just requires one turn of the knob and it begins to count. Wind it at least past 30 minutes and then back to the desired setting; the closer to 60 minutes the knob is turned, the longer the ring will last, up to three seconds. The timer ticks audibly to let you know it’s working, and the ring is loud enough to be heard in the next room. Measuring 3 by 3-5/8 inches, the sloped front is easily observed on a countertop, while a notch on the back allows the option of wall-mounting. CDN covers the timer with a 5-year warranty against defects.--Ann Bieri
Customer Reviews
Fantastic
I really love this timer and suggest you buy one if you need a kitchen timer.
We use one at work. This poor thing is used, abused, kicked around and gunked up daily. It has been a few months, and production employees have not figured out how to destroy it; the original one is still alive. It always works reliably.
It is really simple: one dial. No batteries, no worries if it gets wet, no digital display to get all funky, no complicated button procedures to memorize to set the timer function.
Warning note: it is one of those old fashion wind-up ringers. You have to turn the dial all the way to 60, then turn the dial back down to the time you want. This winds up the spring that rings the bell.
useful timer
This is a handy timer for the kitchen. Very simple to operate. You just turn the knob old school style and voila!!
Dosen't Work
The timer goes off 2 1/2 minutes early! I returned it. Too bad - it was just what I was looking for. It deserved a NO star rating.
