Average customer review:Product Description
Joyce Chen opened her first restaurant in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1958. She found that the selection and quality of Chinese cookware in America didn't live up to her high standards… so she developed her own. Today, Joyce Chen Products sources from all over the Pacific Rim to bring the best of Asia to you. This 7" stainless strainer is a handy little kitchen addition. Its generous bowl will allow you to scoop wontons or dumplings with ease. Earth-friendly bamboo handles stay cool to the touch and look great

Customer Reviews
The Number One Deep Frying Essential
There seems to be an emphasis on mesh strainers in this country, and thats all I seem to find in the grocery stores. Perhaps thats why Joyce Chen created this product - deep frying is alot easier without a mesh because mesh strainers do not allow the hot oil to drain fast enough or completely. Then when this happens you end up with alot of oil soaked fried onion rings, calamari or pakoras - whatever it is. This strainer is a must have for proper deep frying.
Kitchen Must Have!
I bought this a few weeks ago and it just sort of sat there in my wok on my counter (I have no cabinet space). The other day I just grabbed it for an emergency removal and it is great! I don't know how I lived without it. It is just the perfect shape and size for so many things.
A necessity for anyone who makes pasta!
Being an Italian food lover, I make pasta a lot. Using the Stainless Steel Strainer (also known as a "spider") eliminates the need for a colander if you are putting your pasta in a sauce. As soon as the pasta is done just scoop it out, let it drain and put it into your sauce pan. It works like a charm!
