Super fun toy for little girls
This Barbie is a wonderful idea! My daughter loves it! It's more than just a Barbie -- it's a bath toy and Barbie in one. She plays with it both in and out of the bath tub. She had outgrown most of her other bath toys so I was very happy to find a bath toy geared more towards her age. If you press the sides of her hips her fin moves by bending at the knees (so that she is "swimming"). She also has a lever on her back that if you move up and down makes her head and arms move. This Barbie is very easy for my four year old to use (unlike some other specialized Barbies, e.g. Butterfly Barbie and Ice Skating Barbie). I wondered how her hair would do after getting wet but it only made it softer and more manageable. Overall, a very good Barbie for the price. Highly recommended.
Mermaid Fantasy Barbie Doll
My 3 year old daughter recieved this barbie as a Christmas present. She is so in love with the movie The Little Mermaid. In fact that is what inspired my parents to buy this doll for her. The doll is so versitale from the tub to the pool, she brings hours of fun, laughter, and excitement to my daughter's bath or pool time fun. The color will not fade from the chlorine in pool either. This doll is also the closest thing you can find to "Ariel" from the movie. I would definetly recommend this product to other parents whose kids are as in love with the fanatsy of Mermaids, as my daughter is.
Thank you.
MAKES BATH TIME FUN!
Mermaid Fantasy Barbie doll is the best! My daughter has never liked baths until this doll came along. She plays with her the whole time and doesn't want to get out of the tub. When bath time is finally over, by squeezing the mermaid's legs/fins together just under the waist you can get the water out to avoid mildew; and at her back, where there's a lever which makes her arms and head move, water comes out the top of the doll.
My daughter has played with Fantasy Mermaid for close to a year now and she honestly still looks brand new--nothing broken.
I keep "Ariel," as my daughter calls her, only for play in the bathtub and hang her up on the shower caddy to dry. While "Ariel" is drying, I dry my child's hair. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Hopefully it will be helpful in encouraging my child to want to learn to swim too! Sometimes the toys that a child loves and plays with the most are the least expensive. It's nice when this happens!
