It Nearly Ruined Christmas
Ok, it didn't really ruin Christmas. In fact, few friends came over the night I put it up, and we all had a good time making fun of it. But even though we had fun, there was no way I was going to keep a $60 tree of such poor quality.

First, the pros:
It's green.
It's tree-shaped.
Miraculously, all the lights worked.

And now the cons:

The manufacturer photos make this thing look so full that no one should be able to tell that it's just a corner tree, which is why I made a point of posting my photos of the actual tree. In the actual photos, it just looks pathetic. There is no better word to describe it. Even a Charlie Brown Christmas tree would be better, because it's an homage to the classic cartoon, and everyone understands that. When people see this piece of crap, they just figure you were tricked by misleading photos online. And they'd be right.

I might have still kept it despite the distinct lack of branches, if only the damn thing fit into its stand. There is no possible way for the bottom of the tree to fit into the top opening of the stand. The bottom of the tree is at least a quarter of an inch too wide in diameter for it to fit in there. You'll notice in my photo that the tree is leaning at an angle. That's because the only way for it to stand up is for it to balance on the stand, and lean against the wall. And the crazy thing is that this actually appears to be an intentional "feature." The top section of the tree has a hook on it, like you'd find on the back of a picture frame. It seems like this company seriously expects customers to put a nail in their wall and hang the tree on it, while balancing it on the stand. Not gonna happen.

Thankfully Amazon was very cooperative in allowing me to return it. They emailed me a postage-paid shipping label, and said that I'd receive a full refund.

One last note...I just want to draw attention to one of the Product Features mentioned on the product page: "Same Barcana quality with fun whimsical styling!" I really don't know what that's supposed to mean, but if the rest of Barcana's products are anything like this tree, be sure to steer clear of them too. Along with anything labeled "whimsical," just to be safe.
