Works well as mosquito deterrent!
I've used Skin So Soft to keep mosquitoes away instead of the more toxic bug spray (like Deet) and had some real success. Mosquitoes LOVE me, but not when I'm wearing this stuff.

Yeah, I kind of smell like an old lady when I'm wearing it, but it's totally worth it. I wore it religiously when I traveled in Guatemala (including the jungle in Tikal) and didn't get one bite. I did get bitten recently in Minnesota, but I wasn't as careful about slathering it all over me every day.

It also does keep your skin moistened, if that's what you're looking for.

Not good if perfumes bother you
This stuff works but the smell gave me a migraine. It's only mildly "perfumey" but it was enough to give me a migraine. It repels bugs very well and is very light on the skin, not real oily. My mom bought the bath oil and I got the Skin So Soft Unscented Bug Guard. Her wearing the bath oil around me was enough to bother me.
