Editorial Reviews
Amazon.com Product Review
It doesn't look like much, but it will amaze you with what it can do to a twisted 2-by-4. Its jaw end fits snugly around the offending 2-by lumber, and with relatively little effort on your part, it twists the turned wood into place, allowing you to nail with your free hand, keeping it well clear of the inbound fastener. It's pretty much genius, as far as we're concerned, and we've been told that once it's used, it's indispensable.
The Tweaker is solid steel, and as such, it is not light to tote around. And it doesn't feel great hanging from a toolbelt, either. But we think once you give this a turn on a uncooperative board, you'll be hooked, and you'll overlook its heft and take it everywhere you might meet up with a twisted piece of timber.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste
From the Manufacturer
The Tweaker is a multi-use tool which because of its lumber turning capability has been called, A "Framer's Best Friend." The "jaw" fits snugly around any 2-Inch dimensional lumber allowing twisted framing to be pulled into framing position.

A Little Bit of Everything
This is a great multi-purpose tool. When I first saw it, I knew that I had to have one, and I haven't been disappointed yet. The most useful application for me has been in concrete formwork. Quite often the lumber that we get on job sites is badly twisted, either from poor quality or exposure to the elements. The tweaker makes otherwise troublesome and/or useless lumber useful again. Also when forming tilt-wall panels or curbs with 2x material, this tool is a must have, and replaces bulky job-built devices that can only be used to "tweak" the boards, but do not have the added advantage of pulling nails also. Great buy.
definately everything it says it is and more
I do production framing also called commerical rough framing. Everything has to be done very fast with no time for wasted effort. Ever cut wedges to separate two by 4's? Don't bother with this tool. All you need to do is pound it in till it gets a good bite and twist. A trick we learned from working on trucks is to fit a length of steel pipe over the end for incredible leverage. Also, no more pounding braces off, just twist and take braces of quicker and much safer. On some demo jobs I will walk in with only my Tweaker and take out wmost of the walls. If you frame houses or like taking them apart buy this tool.
For tilt construction
While cleaning out the plastic plugs on a 50 panel tilt construction pour we decided to use the Tweaker to pull the half-round plastic out. It easily saved us 8 hours off a 16 hour job. None of the guys had ever seen a tool pop out the plug and clean up the concrete so fast. We clocked it at 30 seconds per plug. It paid for itself in 5 minutes.
Get two, mine walked away during lunch.
