REVIEW FROM A PROFESSINAL BUILDER: IT'S WORTH IT
I bought this hammer after struggling with nasty tennis elbow for about four years. Bottom line, it's light, really light. You swing it faster with less effort, and it hits hard. Very well balanced, and swings great. Frame with it all day, and arm feels good. I do use it for an all around hammer as well, but it's a little too big for some stuff. If you have elbow problems, cough up the extra bucks for this hammer, it's cheaper than those cortazone shots
Vaughn Titanium 16 oz hammer
I have been in the construction business for 40+ years and started out with a 22oz vaughan fiberglass handle. I have always liked the 'feel' of vaughan. This hammer is touted as being lighter than a 22 oz hammer. I used it yesterday for the first time and could not tell a difference. The handle is more stout than the original hammer. I will still keep this hammer and use it for demolition or concrete work. However, I will buy a 14oz Ruger Stilleto for general use.

worth the money
I recently retired my old Vaughan 21-ounce smooth face fiberglass hammer after 7 years of almost daily use so I knew I wanted another Vaughan.
I have developed elbow and shoulder problems and the weight of this hammer has helped ease the sting. The other major benefit is the total weight decrease of the tool bags, making just walking around much more comfortable.
This is a solid hammer for professionals.
