not that great in grass
Works well on hard surfaces, but in the grass not so great. The grass has a tendancy to knock the stuff off that you've already picked up. Also, the welded nut on the handle (for the wing bolt) was broken off and laying in the bottom of the box when it was delivered. I couldn't return it because I needed it the next day for a job. It wasn't a big deal though; I just drilled through and put on a bolt and a wing nut. All in all; not bad for the price.

Good quality for the price- great value
This is a good value. The price is hard to beat and I was very happy with the quality. The product arrived in good shape (unlike some of the other reviews) and I was using it within 5 minutes of opening the box. I was impressed with the magnet strength. I haven't tried it in grass and it has some trouble with uneven gravel- that's to be expected. I would definitely recommend this, particularly the 36" model- the extra width is a time saver in big areas.

One thing- be careful if you're trying to empty the magnet into a bucket because it's very easy to pick it up by the magnet release and drop your cargo onto the ground. Not a design flaw but something to remember.

Great sweeper
I have a sweeper that does not have wheels & is about 12". It works well but not as quickly as this one. This sweeper works really well on flat surfaces but misses a few nails in the grass. But overall this is really a good deal
