Great watch
Pros:
Looks Unique and Good. Swiss made (I like the Swiss Army Knife brand). Simple controls. The wrist guard is removable. The numbers and hands glow quite well in the dark. Water resistant upto 100 mts. Not heavy.

Cons:
Since the date indicator is not month specific, it keep going up to 31 in every month. I have to manually correct it. No big deal.

Fantastic watch
First things first, don't let the wrist guard put you off - if you don't like it you can just remove it. This is a very nice watch that I mainly bought for the looks - I wanted a good brand with a brown dial and this fit the bill.

Another Great & Affordable All Swiss Made Watch from Wenger
As my modest collection of watches has grown considerably beyond any reasonable needs, I have become a true believer in the superior quality of Swiss Made time-pieces. I say this as an owner of some truly superb, innovative, (and expensive), time-pieces made by the likes of Seiko and Citizen, among others.

I now own three watches made by Wenger. When it comes to accuracy, all three are superior to any others in my collection. These watches are guaranteed accurate to within 1/10th of a second per day. After months of service, mine have neither gained nor lost even a single second, as measured against the Atomic Clock in Colorado, and Internet time. They are so accurate, and remain so dependably so, that after carefully setting each to the exact hour, minute and second, none have needed re-setting, ever, (except, of course, to adjust for D-Lt Savings). I have learned that I can confidently use any of them as a benchmark for setting or re-setting all other clocks and time-pieces.

This model is one of the most comfortable casual watches that I now own. Light on the wrist, and yet heavy enough in construction to be durable and rugged enough for just about any day-to-day activity short of extreme sports. (I haven't put it to that test-No need) It wears equally well as a dress watch, casual watch or casual sport watch.

With a 10 Bar, (100 meter), water resistance rating, (NOT a Dive Watch), it promises to hold up to just about anything above Sea Level and below the Arctic Circle, including water splash and the "Oops - I Forgot to Take it Off Dive Into the Pool" experience. Excellent for keeping the internal parts protected against normal exposure to dust, contaminants, water and moisture.

The size is adequately large for a "manly-man", and not so big that it is overbearing. The dial and hands are supremely easy to read. With a VERY white enameled face, black hands with luminous centers, classic black enameled Arabic Numerals (with luminous hour markers), clear black enameled minute/second marks and a contrasting red second hand, this watch offers "Time-at-a-Glance" functionality with classic, not clunky styling. The day and date sub-dials are a very nice touch, giving the watch a bit of a sporty look, while remaining subtle enough to keep the watch suitable for dress or business use.

The well-made leather strap is padded with a dual-ridged design, as shown. Very nice. Unfortunately, it is also short-to-average in length and does not come close to fitting my large wrists. But I can't fault the product on this account. It came as no surprise to me. I'm a fequent buyer with a large European supplier that specializes in a great selection of watch bands and straps in all styles, sizes and price ranges. Mine are all XL and when I buy a watch with a leather strap I assume that I will need to replace it with one that will fit. (I have a growing supply of very nice leather watch bands that are too short for me to wear).

With this watch, I was able to replace the leather strap that came with it with a very nice one that I had waiting in the wings. I chose a smooth leather padded strap with contrasting white stitching. The combination of this strap with the contrasting black and white design of the watch looks great, and I now would not wear it any other way.

I moved the high-quality protective leather cuff to another Wenger Aquagraph Dive watch that I have owned for some time now. Coupled with a high quality XL harness leather band, the result is a truly handsome and durable heavy duty all-purpose work-horse watch with a classic look.

If you have a small to average size wrist, the factory band should fit very nicely, and the moderate sized cuff gives the watch a very masculine appearance, without being over-the-top like so many larger versions of this style. It's a very functional and attractive combination.

The bezel is stationary and displays numbered minutes from 1 to 60. Although it gives the look of a diver's elapsed time bezel, it is not. For me this is a plus. Very narrow in width, it is just sporty enough to add a touch of class to the face of the watch, while at the same time provides true functionality, appropriate to the type of watch that it is.

This watch is made with a Swiss Eta 5 Jewell quartz movement. In my opinion, Eta movements, (Mechanical, Mechanical Automatics & Quartz), are the benchmark's that all others aspire to. Extremely accurate, durable and dependable.

I mention this because although the product description mentions a quartz movement, it stops short of adding that the movement is a true "Swiss Eta" Jeweled (5-Jewels) Movement, (trust me on this), one of the best in the world. Most other quartz movements, (even Seiko and Citizen), don't measure up to this high quality.

All else is as described. All Swiss Made from the inside out, and all very high quality. At the Wenger retail price of $225.00 this watch would be a good value. At twenty per-cent off retail, it would be a better value. At this low-low-low Amazon discount price, it is a tremendous value, too good to pass up. Truly a fine watch at a great price.

In my opinion, Wenger watches are the best value in the world of watch making and marketing, (even at full retail). High quality ALL SWISS MADE product, affordable Amazon prices, excellent customer service and full Factory Warranty's. With vendors offering last years models, which are IDENTICAL to this years models, (as shown on the Wenger home web-site), at deeply slashed discount prices, YOU SIMPLY CAN'T GO WRONG!
