No woman can resist a great bag, and crafters tend toward creating them because there are no rules in pouch and purse design. Here, the editor culls designs of 29 different bags from 15 designers. The result is a panorama of great pieces, from a cute quilted “bling sling” to carry jewelry to a whimsical cell phone holder to a geometric metallic purse. The designs range from simple to complex, so there’s something in here for every level of sewer. The designers are an eclectic group from around the country, many of whom have published their own craft books. Such a varied group results in a wonderful mix of textures and materials that will make this how-to invaluable for experimental crafters. The variety, though, is kept cohesive by the editor, who presents each project with instructions formatted the same way throughout. A must-have for any crafts collection. --Mary Frances Wilkens

Adorable Purse Projects
Great Book. I loved every single project in the book and that's very rare for me!
Why can't they include full size patterns? You need to enlarge some by up to 500%
My office copier only does up to 400% - so the only way to get it done is to go to a copy place and have it done - in addition to paying for the book, you now have to pay for the enlargements. In my opinion this book is too expensive since you have to spend more money. Some of the purses are cute, but some are so simple, they didn't need to be in there.
Very creative...
The projects were fresh and innovative and the use of the fabrics was inspiring. I tried a couple and especially liked the triangular bag.
