Benetint Pocket Pal
I bought this item in a Sephora when it came out and I have not been disappointed with it. Its great in that its smaller and easier to carry around in my purse rather than the larger Benetint bottle. It smells faintly of roses and it gives a beautiful sheer reddish/rose color to my lips. The gloss it comes with is ok, not the best gloss I've ever used. But its very convenient to have both items in one without having to remember to bring both of them and then fishing around for it in your purse. I will buy this item again. Just be careful you have the tint part of the wand upright when you open it or you will spill it since it is a liquid.
Lovely color...
I bought this product after seeing rave reviews in all the latest magazines. So far, I have enjoyed using the tint and gloss, but I have to be honest... it smells a little funny. I think it must be the rosewater, but the tint (which, if you've never used a tint before, is a liquid. Not a gel, but a liquid, so be careful!) sort of smells like my great aunt. But the soft rose color is worth it, and the tint looks very natural on my Irish cheeks! Also, the gloss isn't fabulous (it's sticky), so I'd recommend buying the Benetint (not the pocketpal) and layering it with your favorite gloss!
amazing
I tried this at Sephora and was a bit hesitant to buy the full sized Benetint because it's a tad expensive. I think the pocket size is great, esecially if you're not sure you'd ever use up a whole bottle, and more portable.
I am totally addicted. The color is very natural (I have fairly pale skin). I haven't had any trouble blending - do one cheek at a time and start out with just a little to make sure not to overdo it. The same goes for use as a lip stain - obviously more produces a darker effect.
I agree that it is a little drying as a lip stain, but the gloss corrects that problem.
Personally, I love the rose scent. I think it's very feminine and not really unexpected, given Benefit's retro theme.
I'm not super excited about the quaternium-15 (which is a formaldehyde releasing preservative), but until someone comes out with something better (which may not be possible!) I guess I'll stick with this.
