![]() | Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
Buy new: $44.99 / Used from: $34.00 M:UA2 allows you and up to 4 friends to play locally. My fave part part of this game is that it's NOT split-screen, which makes for a more immersive game.

![]() | Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires
Buy new: $39.99 / Used from: $26.89 DW6:Empires is the same battlefield layout as DW6, but done more like a strategy board game. Picture Risk, where you and your friend actually get into the battles.
![]() | WWE Legends of WrestleMania
Buy new: $31.79 / Used from: $19.97 I know this title got a lot of flack for its simplified fighting system (versus WWE Smackdown vs Raw). For a casual gamer like me, that's okay. There's enough fun and nostalgia in this title for quite a few rounds, and it's a great game to throw in at a party because anyone can pick it up quickly.
![]() | Halo 3: ODST
Buy new: $50.00 / Used from: $35.00 Okay, ODST is much harder than most shooters for the 360. That said, it's still a fun go.
![]() | Dynasty Warriors 6
Buy new: $105.71 / Used from: $18.00 For a great co-op hack-and-slash, there's no better choice than Dynasty Warriors. DW6 adds terrain strategy and next-gen graphics to an already-solid series.
![]() | Halo 3
Buy new: $36.99 / Used from: $19.50 It's only the greatest shooter made for the 360.
![]() | Blazing Angels 2 Secret Missions
Buy new: $22.39 / Used from: $8.99 An early game from the 360 era, so the graphics are not the prettiest for the console. BA2:SM remains one of the only split-screen flying games, and is a pretty good one.
![]() | Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2
Buy new: $14.99 / Used from: $7.96 The controls will take a little getting used to, but GRAW2 will definitely have you and your bud talking tactics while you play.
![]() | Burnout Revenge
Buy new: $119.94 / Used from: $8.99 Another early port at the 360 launch, what Burnout Revenge lacks in next-gen graphics polish it more than compensates in gameplay. Race or crash in either co-op or head-to-head, this game has great versatility.
![]() | Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
Buy new: $19.82 / Used from: $14.71 Because it's Lego and it's Star Wars, duh. Okay seriously, not a split screen (both char's share the screen), great sense of humor, TONS of stuff to do, and drop-in/drop-out 2nd player make this a great casual choice for the list.
![]() | Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2
Buy new: $19.92 / Used from: $12.50 More like a tactical sim than a shooter, so long, slow levels of cool stuff happening. You'll either love R6V2 or hate it. Probably should read through some reviews first.
![]() | Soul Calibur IV
Buy new: $21.50 / Used from: $13.90 Okay, it's a fighter, not a true co-op. But who doesn't like a little smack-down every once in a sometimes.
![]() | Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe
Buy new: $28.99 / Used from: $19.96 There's just something about Wonder Woman and Kitana fighting that makes this game okay.
![]() | Sacred 2: Fallen Angel
Buy new: $36.99 / Used from: $23.95 I wasn't personally the biggest fan of this game, but for those of you who like your World of Warcraft, this is basically the 2p co-op version of that. You can play more online when your mate's not around, too.
![]() | Viva Piñata (Platinum Family Hits)
Buy new: $19.99 / Used from: $8.99 The quintessential party game, this is a great one to pop in and play with your "not gamer" friends.
![]() | Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise
Buy new: $19.82 / Used from: $12.00 Follow up to Viva Pinata, this casual little game is full of fun, quick levels, making it perfect for company or a party.
![]() | Full Auto
Buy new: $31.35 / Used from: $7.21 Like a shooter with cars. Graphics are a little dated, but the gameplay will keep you coming back.
![]() | Project Gotham Racing 4
Buy new: $18.71 / Used from: $3.99 If you want a realistic racing game, Grid and PGR4 are about the best out there (and you really don't need both). I gave the edge to PGR4 because it includes motorcycles, too, which are a blast to drive.
![]() | Hasbro Family Game Night: Battleship [Online Game Code]
Buy new: $10.00 Hasbro Family Game Night is available for download on XBox Live (you can buy the download code from Amazon). With Scrabble, Battleship, Yatzee, Connect 4, Sorry, and Sorry Sliders, there's plenty to choose from. Each game has the traditional rules plus a few variants (Battleship has salvo and power weapons, for instance). Really well done.
![]() | Def Jam Icon
Buy new: $51.99 / Used from: $7.62 This game got a lot of flack from players as a fighting game, some of it deserved. However, with a very cool create-a-fighter feature and a fairly easy storyline, I still stand by it as a pick for playing with a pal.
