Castle Swing along Climber Building an actual castle can be awfully time consuming (just ask the medieval serfs). Fortunately this outdoor play set offers a nice alternative that’s probably a whole lot more fun anyway. Done up in reds and browns, it features a telescope (just a plastic tube but effective enough for a kid’s imagination), ship-style steering wheel, tunnels to climb through, a rock hill to climb up, and a slide to go down. There’s also a bucket swing with a three-point safety belt. Built more with smaller kids in mind, it would make a nice addition to the backyard and assembles fairly easily. --Charlie Williams

Great first swing set!
I just bought this for my one year old daughter and she loves it! I was looking to get her a toy that would help her burn off some extra energy and I thought this would definately help.

My husband and I put it together in about 20 minutes, it really wasnt very hard. If you have bought a lot of furniture from Ikea then you know have an idea how to build something.

The slide is a great length for a beginner, short enough so they can build their confidence but has enough zip in it to be fun.

I was pleasantly surprised by the swing, I had read so many bad reviews that I thought once I put her in it we would have to take it back. My daughter measured in the 70% for height at her last checkup and she still has plenty of room to grow both in the seat and before her feet touch the ground.

This is a great toy for a beginner. The swing is not intended to send them to the moon, thats for later. This will help instill confidence, coordination and help their imaginations soar with the lookout post at the top.

A Hard climb for a little one
MY daughter loves the slide on this toy...but when i bought it i didnt realize it has a small climber instead of steps..she has a hard time climbing it herself, and falls often. She is 12 months old..the toy says 1 year to 4 years, but i would not buy this toy for a young toddler.

do your homework--this toy is misunderstood
Our two year old weighs about 25 pounds and is about 36 inches tall. This toy was perfect for him. He loves every aspect of it. Most children are afraid at first to go down the big playground slides because they are too long. For a toddler this length is great because it is in a way a "training" slide. It prepares the child for the longer slide but still gives them the thrill of going down a slide plus it gives them confidence and ownership of their abilities. Right now our son wants indepence more than anything and this toy gives him the chance to be independent and we don't have to hold his hand to do that. With the swing his feet don't quite touch the ground but they are close enough that he can get out of the swing himself and he likes that. We went to the store before we purchased this to see one set up and we were quite pleased with the product. But just the picture on the web site and some of the reviews didn't properly represent what the toy is. He would have missed a lot of fun if we just went by the reviews on this web site and the pictures.
