Canon 10 - 22mm Wide Angle
Great lense. Does exactly as promised. I do agree that it is pricey, but I knew that going into the purchase. The tripod that comes with the kit is a joke. The rest of the kit is worth the additional money. I would buy it again.

Possible misleading ad for Canon 10-22 zoom package

The description of this package offer includes 2 Hoya filters. Well, I ordered this package, not just the lens, but for the Hoya filters. I received the lens package with filters, however, filters were not Hoya brand, but some brand X Opteka filters in a gosh awful silver color. It is no wonder that the price of this package was so low. I guess the old addage of "if it is too good to be true, it isn't" really applies to this deal. There may have been a disclaimer on this package, but I failed to notice it. One the plus side, the Canon lens arrived in perfect condition. The other accessories, eg mini tripod is a joke, but the lens cleaning accessory will come in handy during my upcoming vacation in Hawaii. For this reason, I cannot honestly rate this item more than 3 stars. If the Hoya filters were included, this review would have been a 5 star review.

Canon EF-S 10-22 peripheral distortion
A good kit for the price. However, the Canon EF-S 10-22mm super wide angle lens has considerable distortion around the periphery. A barrel effect. Did not expect this from reading other reviews.
