Customer Reviews
They serve their purpose...
This kit was complete with a heavy-duty wiring harness, a relay, a switch, and a set of the Halogen Projector fog lights. The Installation was a PITA because of the holes on the Lights not being threaded, but the screws are self-threading (you just have to get them started). Lighting output is decent, not brilliant, but definately an improvement on my 2006 Nissan Frontier. These are far more brighter then the stock fog lights that came with this truck model, and about $100 cheaper too.
Bad design
As mentioned in previous reviews, these lights do not have threaded holes for the brackets to mount to them, with the included screws. Due to this it is very hard to get the screw started, so you cant test fit the locations very well. I have no idea why they designed them this way, but I ended up not even using the lights. They are sitting on a shelf in my garage. Not happy with this design at all. I expected better from Hella.
Hella DE Micro
These were installed on my 96 Miata. Quality of the fogs were up to par in terms of finish and workmanship. Using a wrench with an 8 mm socket to start the bolts that attach the casing to the brackets is not at all difficult so long as you do this prior to installing the mount to the bumper for a test fit. The wiring harness will need to be cut to fit if you do not want excess wiring to be wound up. The lights throws out a wide beam pattern that is important in the country roads I drive in.
