Product Description

Cameras fitted with normal lenses do not permit us to move closer than a certain minimum distance from the object being photographed. The Close-Up lens, which is simply mounted in the front of our normal taking lens, permits the taking of close-ups and also makes possible the photography of details which would be quite impossible without using the Close-Up lens. The easy to use solution for getting extra close. These lenses enable you to get much closer than the minimum focus of the standard camera lens - as close as 4 inches from the subject. Ideal for cataloging small items and focusing on details.

Customer Reviews

Neet toy and inexpensive4
the +1 +2 and +4 all work great, the 10x gives alot of distortion around the edges and has to be on a tripod to focus. Do not attempt to auto focus with these on your camera set your focus manually and move in and out from the object to fine tune at least with my lens that worked best. With the camera manually set at infinity I focus in at about 15 inches with my focus length set at .45 feet I move in to about 4 inches with the +4 in. Actually I filled more of the frame with the focus set on infinity from further away. I think it has something to do with the built in macro mode on my lens.

I am using a Nikon D80 with a Tamron 18-250 lens.

Close Up Filters are a Must Have!!!!5
I highly recommend these close-up filters for getting right down into whatever you are shooting - you can even stack them for some ultra wild results!

Opteka 62 mm Close up lens set.

I wanted to take close ups of flowers. The lens set helped some, but not upto my expectations. I am using my old lens, enlarging and cropping my pictures for the same effect.
