Great upgrade RAM
When I built my desktop the most RAM I could afford was 2GB of DDR3. While this was adequate I soon realized that I would need more soon! So I purchased this set from Corsair. It is 3 seperate 1333 MHZ 240 Pin chips. They come with a metal covering and not really a heat sink per se.
Overall I love having 6GB of RAM now, Less swapping during game play and the boot up time has been reduced noticably.
I purchased this the day it came available. I see that now it may be difficult to find these. Grab these when they become available again.
Here are the specs so you dont have to dig around the web to find them:

Perfect for a new i7 system
I got this when upgrading to an i7 system, and it works fantastic. It's a little odd thinking of buying ram in sets of threes instead of twos, but that's the way things are going to be now that we're in the era of DDR3.
I'm pretty loyal to Corsair ram. I've used it (along with PNY for non gaming systems) for many years, and it's always been extremely reliable. The DDR2 XMS ram I had in my previous system was very easy to overclock. I expect this set to overclock well also.
It's fantastic that DDR3 ram has dropped in cost so much that it makes it really doable to have 6gbs in your system. Combine this kit with Vista 64-bit and you've got a winning combination.
The speed of this ram is fantastic. The timings seem loose if you're used to DDR2 ram, but that's really an illusion. I've not really overclocked the ram, but I plan to in the future.
Over all, for south of $200 this is a fantastic deal.
Corsair TR3X6G1333C9 XMS3 on DELL 435MT i7
I have been running a Dell 435MT with 4GB (stock) DDR3 memory. (Note that the Dell 4x1GB config does NOT allow for triple-channel mode.)
Running Windows 7 x64 Beta 24x7; NLE video editing, digital photo management, web development, (always) playing music, and easing my way into x64 programming.
Last week I decided to jump the gun and purchased this 3x2GB pack.
Naturally, it meant that one of the 1GB stock strips had to go. Now running a triple-channel configuration of 3x(2+1GB) = 9GB. The machine flies doing ANYTHING you throw at it. Later I will run vBox virtual machines for testing and development purposes, and the amount of memory will come in handy.
Probably will perform some benchmarks later on.
I mainly decided to write this (my first) review, to inform that
1) the items perform up to expectations.
2) they are surely compatible with the Dell Studio 435MT.
3) give an indication of usage patterns where the memory comes in handy.
Cheers.
