Necessary
You really need something to protect the P2 from getting damaged (the screen at least). This jacket is very good, but has two small flaws; the clear screen cover should extend a bit lower so that you are more easily able to access touch screen buttons in the lower corners of the screen, since important function buttons are residing in this screen location. The other issue I had was the non-optional way the belt clip is consturcted (though I simply removed it, albeit in a permanent way, with a small tool). Neither one of my concerns are sufficient enough to make me suggest that one buy or try a different jacket; it doesn't seem like there are any competing jackets that would be a better alternative to this one. Other than these small issues, this jacket is the ticket for giving me piece of mind that I am not going to accidentally whack my player.

Don't get me wrong DLO makes some good cases in general, but this isn't one of them.

It does hold the player nice and snug and keep it from getting scratched up. But, the screen protector makes it hard to use the touch screen. I found myself pressing the screen 2-3 more times on average to do one thing.

I now use a rubber skin for my P2 and a clear screen protector. These protect my player and let press the screen with no problem

I ordered this arm band and I've used it almost every day since. It comes with a clip also, which I get more use from, but the band is adjustable and very comfortable. The mp3 for it is a touch screen and it took a few tries getting use to using the screen with the cover on it but that's it. I would recommend this (and have) to anybody.
