Customer Reviews

Up to usual LowePro standards5
I purchased this case to protect a Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II lens. The compatibility chart at lowepro.com said that it would fit. I have found that this chart does not consider the lens hood in many cases and this is one of them. The case is a perfect fit for this lens with no hood. With the hood on reversed, it is quite an ordeal to get the combo in this case. It is possible but it takes some doing. I don't believe that there is an larger, better fit alternative in the LowePro line. The bag that Canon sends with the case offers no real shock protection for the lens so you really need something.

LowePro lens cases are a great value. They are very well made and the materials are of excellent quality.

Nice case, doesn't fit2
This is a well made bag. However, regardless of what the websites recommend, the Canon EF 16-35 F2.8L II does NOT fit inside. The lens is too long for this case.

It does what it should, and well5
I bought this for my Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED-IF AF-S VR DX Zoom-Nikkor Lens, and it holds this lens comfortably with the hood reversed. It can also hold my Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras with the hood on (not reversed).
While the Sigma came with its own nice case, this allows me to bring my camera with the 18-200VR attached for most shots and have the 10-20 available for immediate use (and safely store the 18-200VR in the meantime.
