Valley Silent Hitch Pin works with all Class III / V hitches with 2 inch receiver tubes. They keep ball mounts, cargo carriers and bike racks quiet and rattle free and easy installation due to 2 keys and wrench. Block with spring is placed inside the ball mount and drawn to the side of the hitch tube when the pin is tightened. This pushes the ball mount or hitch accessory up against the side of the hitch tube, dramatically reducing movement and vibration and acts as a great alternative to the J-pin and a second hole is not needed. They also act as an anti-rattle device.

Make Sure you order correctly...
I bought this locking pin to replace the anti rattle pin i have for my performancebike xsport flatbad bike rack. OOPS! Is all I can really say. This pin is way too large for the bike rack but no worries as I'm keeping it for my D-Receiver and regular ball receiver.

The unit feels very sturdy and is quite heavy for it's small stature. It's well made and once assemble will be very solid. When cranking down on this thing engaging the threads use a wrench or ratchet as the included tool is meant to be give to your 6 year old :)

Note: If you are looking for an anti-rattle locking pin for a bike rack make sure you search for just that, 5/8 inch locking pins for 2 inch receivers will give you a pin much too large for bike racks. Those type of anti wobble locking pins are out there but are hard to find for a fair price.

Silent Hitch pin
This is well made and does a great job of keeping things snug in the hitch box, and it also locks the two together. A box wrench works a lot better than the one included.

Quick delivery. Solid product. Easy to install. Used with receiver-mounted bike rack. Stopped all rattle. The included wrench is OK but recommend using a regular box-end wrench or ratchet to tighten the bolt because you get more leverage and a tighter fit.
