Representing the utmost value to the consumer, the L14 will be able to capture an astounding 1,000 shots on a single pair of included Energizer Lithium AA batteries, the most of any camera in its class. Building on the success of previous L-Series digital cameras, the L14 includes new technologies designed to enhance the experience of the point-and-shoot consumer. With an enhanced face recognition function the L14 will be able to recognize five separate faces, faster and more efficiently than ever before. Additionally, the L14 incorporates the new EXPEEDTM advanced image processing system for enhanced speed and brilliant color reproduction. The L14 also features In-Camera Red-Eye Fix, an innovation that automatically corrects red eye. In addition, scenes with poor backlight or underexposed faces can be corrected with the D-Lighting function, which is also done in-camera. After activating these functions or shooting in one of 15 different scene modes, the original settings of these cameras can easily be restored through the Easy Auto Mode. In-Camera Red-Eye Fix automatically compensates to help eradicate traces of the annoying red-eye effect that can sometimes be encountered during flash photography. And D-Lighting can be applied to improve underexposed images or shots taken with too much backlight. Great Camera for the Price!!!
I purchased this camera for my mom for Christmas. She loved it. It does not come with a memory card but the internal memory holds alot of photos. i would recommend this camera for the novice photographer. I want to purchase one for myself...

nikon coolpix ... soft pink
bought this camera for my daughter ... she is very happy with it ... i should have researched the camera a little more though ... after she opened it she immediately looked for a memory card .. didn't come with one... pictures that she has taken look very sharp and clear ... big thumbs up for the cost and quality ...

Great Nikon L15
Great camera to work with for beginners, I needed just a basic camera, with good quality photos worthy of prints and internet display as I do take a lot of photos. Wish it came with an SD card because I take so many photos. I have to go out and buy one. Might not be perfect, might not be fast enough to take them, and if you use the flash too close to a light object it becomes whited out so you can't tell what it is- but if you move back some you can then see what's in the picture. I like it and it is good enough for me. Under $130- for an 8 megapixel is a bargain I think.
