Customer Reviews
Excellent racket, real light and loaded with power
This is my second Tennis racket, i have the Wilson US Open as a beginner and played with it for a year. I have been playing with the Head LiquidMetal 8 for a week now and i have to say it is amazing. Extremely light(on the UPS scale stringed it weighed .60 lbs) and packed with a punch this racket has increased my confidence level tremendously, i can't blame anything on the racket anymore so i try extra hard and have definitely improved a lot in just a week. Look and feel of the racket is definitely a plus, it has the integrated vibration dampers so you can't lose it while playing. Comes with a full cover in Black and Silver/Gray to match the racket. I got this with Free Shipping through Amazon - MidWest Sports - with no tax, even the stores can't beat that. Got the Racket and 2 cans of Balls delivered at my door for what other stores are selling only the racket for.
Amazon is the best, i am completely satisfied with the whole experience.
Excellent Head Tennis Racquet
Just getting back to tennis after many years following shoulder injury. Previous A Grade Comp player - now just social tennis. Bought Head Liquidmetal 8 racquet online through Amazon and it was delivered to my address in Sydney Australia in about one week. Excellent racquet to play with, huge sweet spot, feels light and well balanced with minimal vibration transmitted. A very smooth transaction, excellent racquet and good experience generally.
Absolutely horrible racquet
I am an advanced beginner when it comes to tennis and was looking for a better racquet to improve my game. I have had 2 HEAD racuqets before and after reading some glowing reviews on Amazon, I decided to order one for myself. Unfortunately, I have to disagree with the 4 and 5 stars given to this product.
From the moment I got this racquet, I was having this uneasy experience of hearing weird sounds coming out about 90% of the time. I know that I don't hit the ball in the center sweet spot all the time but I would hear this pop sound almost every time. I had it shown to a semi-professional who agreed that there was something wrong. So, I contacted the seller about getting it replaced, which they gladly did.
Upon getting the second racquet, I started hearing the same kinds of noises which really disappointed me. So, I thought there was probably something wrong with the way I was hitting the ball and decided to put in an additional dampener (remember, this racquet comes with an in-built dampener) and also put in a new grip after reading some reviews that it might help. Neither worked and after a week or so, I heard a big pop and the next thing I see is that the racquet is broken....I could not believe my eyes and called up the seller again. This time, I requested to have the racquet replaced by another brand or be given a refund. I am hoping one of them works out. I am not convinced that I got a defective racquet twice - this has something to do with the quality of the product itself...
My sincere suggestion to anyone considering buying this one - if you are an advanced beginner or an intermediate player, please STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE. You are better off spending your money on a Prince O3 or other ones from the Head series...LIQUIDMETAL 8, from my experience, is for absolute beginners.
Hope this helps. Enjoy the tennis....
