Customer Reviews
Always fun for everyone
I got this for my daughter when she was 2 1/2 and she had a lot of success with the questions. She often amazes me with the things that she does know, and takes great pleasure in these "surprises". I like this product because it covers so many different areas - letter identification, colors, numbers, and everyday knowledge. Her 7 year old sister also enjoys "quizzing" her, and they pass quite a bit of time this way on car trips. Now they can use their Brain Quest together. I do several pages for one while the other listens, then we switch. I started off with Brain Quest Toddler and plan to use them all as my children grow.
Fantastic Edu-tainment
I happened to stumble across Brain Quest for Threes and bought it because it's compact packaging looked convenient. I put in my car to pull out whenever I brought my 3 and 5 year olds to appointments or weekends away. I was thrilled to discover that my kids really enjoyed playing the game and I could easily play with them both by taking turns. There are so many questions that the cards always seem new. My 5 year old often pulls it out to play by herself and the easy to understand answer cards allow her to do so. I have purchased other Brain Quest products for the subsquent age groups.
Questions are too easy for a 3 - 4 year old
Although we have fun with these I was a little disappointed in the questions for my 3 1/2 year old. There are a few that made him think or we could talk about but there's a lot of stuff like "I bark and wag my tail". It comes with a picture of a cat, dog and gerbil. Lots of "What letter is this?" "Which one is orange?" "Which jar is full?" as opposed to half full or empty. I was going to return them but found that my son likes reading the questions to me so it will work for reading skills but not what I had hoped for. I should have bought this pack a year ago when he was 2 or 2 1/2, it would have been more fun.
